I recently had a failure of a Hegy simitar shaped propellor on my Boredom Fighter N81T. My airplane has a 0-200 for power an the prop was a 68 X 44. The prop started to fail at the root of one blade ACROSS the grain. Fortunately I found the crack before It tossed a blade. I have since been working with Sensenich to find the right length and pitch combination for my plane. The people at Sensenich have been very helpful in my efforts and have actually sent me three different props before we found the right combination. I currently have a W72GK-46 and It's perfect. It allows the engine to turn 1750 RPM at full throttle level flight with a max speed of 125 MPH. I estimate climb to be about 1800 FPM (no VSI). I also had a W72GK-44 and the airplane climbed extreemly well but would go to 2850 RPM. The later prop would be a good choice if you do a lot of aerobatics. With the W72GK-46 I cruise at 110 MPH at 2500 RPM. I can highly reccomend the people at Sensenich for the knowledge they have and the way that they are willing to work with you to find the right length and pitch comination.
