Lnd_gear_lotsofparts.jpg (931986 bytes) Here's the collection of parts ready for fitting and welding.
Lnd_gear_jig1.jpg (226976 bytes) The gear fixture is complete and the tubing is being fitted. The angles to the outside of the fixture are clamped to ensure that the axels are at one degree toe-out. The plans say .5 - 1 degree, so I went with the full one-degree.
Lnd_gear_jig2.jpg (238166 bytes) Here's the gear back from the welder.
Lnd_gear_jig3.jpg (226471 bytes) Another view after return from the welder.
Tailwheel1.jpg (202905 bytes) Tailwheel assembly complete and installed. As of November 01, and almost 140 flight hours, the tailwheel has been trouble free. This is the second wheel on the aircraft. The first had a problem with the internal sealed bearing and burned up during taxi testing.
Main gear installed for fitting.
MLG_Brk_ftg.jpg (17369 bytes) Main gear showing the hydraulic line for the Cleveland brakes.
